Please be reminded that the CSAF AGM will be held in conjunction with the events of the Calgary Highland Games. Some of the important governance issues for
the AGM are;
1. Elections (4): Specifially for Athlete East (currently Hadley), supporter at Large (currently Boland-Richardson), Athlete West (currently
Walsh), Athlete at Large-odd year (Currently Johnston). Nominations for these for positions can be made to me, Christoph Wand by Friday August 21st. Where no
nomination is made the position will remain vacant; where 2 or more are made balloting will happen at the AGM.
2. Motions. Any motions you wish to have debated at the AGM are due to the forum, or any memeber of the Board (those mentioned plus
MacDonald, Goldthorp & Wand) by Friday August 14th. They will be then reviewed and posted on this Forum so that all may have an informed opinion prior to
appointing proxies for the AGM. All votes are simple yes/no votes. Motions will not be amended on the AGM floor.
This is your chance to participate in forming the shape of Heavy Events in Canada. Please make motions, nominate your peers, appoint proxies or attend the
AGM.

I am willing to extend nominations to this Thursday evening (the 27th) at 5:00 pm Eastern Time. I will also in the coming week appoint myself as nominating
committee and allow myself to fill the electoral slate unless nominations come in.
To date I have nominations for: Jason Johnston, "Athlete at Large - Odd Year". Greg Hadley, "Athlete East" Gordon Walsh, "Athlete West" Lynn Boland-Richardson, "Supporter at Large" I do still need confirmations that a few of these accept another nomination. CW

So, with the nominations deadline passed, they are closed. The incumbents (JJ, Lynn, Gordon & Greg) have all been re-nominated and therefore acclaimed.
Thank you for your continued service to the sport.
There were also no motions from the CSAF membership to be debated. Looks like we have most thorny issues behind us

The CSAF annual general meeting will be held at the Village Park Inn (Best Western) 16 ave and Crowchild Trail NW Calgary.
The meeting will commence at 4:30pm Friday September 4th- 2009 and finish at 6:15pm.
